Vegan Brownies

Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 200g self-raising flour
  • 5tbsp vegetable oil
  • 180g caster sugar
  • 1tsp vanilla essence
  • 230ml plant milk (I use soya)
  • Pecan nuts

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 c.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate in a bowl over simmering water.
  3. Sift the flour into a large bowl.
  4. Add all of the ingredients to the bowl (except the pecan nuts).
  5. Mix until it forms a smooth mixture.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased tin and spread evenly with the back of your spoon.
  7. Use the pecan nuts to mark each brownie (see below). You can also use raspberries to do this.
  8. Cook in the oven for 20 minutes.
  9. Once removed from the oven, allow to cool and then cut to size using a knife.
  10. Enjoy!
